M.I.A. is just so cool. She's so smart! Her music videos are always well thought out and always something to look forward to. 

So, when I heard that M.I.A. was thinking about doing a collection, I knew immediately it was going to be dope. Two weeks ago I was so excited to hear that her collection had finally hit stores! 

I love the thought process behind this collection. The way M.I.A. came up with this collection is so clever. She turned "bootleg street wear" to a full blown collection. When interviewed by WWD, M.I.A said, "When I was contacted by Versace, it seemed a great idea to invert the circle. Versace's designs have always been copied, now it's Versace that copies the copies, so those that copy must copy the copies. So this will continue."

That's a dope concept!

How to: Dressing for a Christian Concert

Concerts are always something to look forward to. It's a great excuse to play dress up. Finding the right outfit can be a difficult task, especially when seeking the correct outfit for a Christian concert. You don't want to come across as sleazy and you definitely do not want to be overdressed. As the saying goes, “There is a time and place for everything.” So let me guide you in the pursuit of finding the right attire for a Christian concert. 

JUMPSUITS
I adore jumpsuits! While they are extremely comfortable, if styled properly they can be very chic.

Above are three jumpsuits, I would wear! For jumpsuit no.2 a camisole could be worn under to hide any cleavage. Also, dress it up with a nice blazer and “killer” shoes!


MIDI LENGTH DRESSES
An issue in attending a Christian concert is not looking too suggestive. Wearing a midi length dress is a solution to this problem. A  midi length dress allows you to look “hot” without looking inappropriate.
 
A great way to "glam" up your dress is by wearing a cute clutch!


PRINTS
If you are not afraid to step out of the box in your style , rocking a floral print should be no problem. A floral trouser or skirt can be worn with a matching top or a solid top. Pair it with transparent heels or clutch and you are ready to go!



LEATHER
Wearing a leather skirt, leather pants or a leather dress is a great way to look edgy but still very sophisticated.

Try mixing leather with a floral print blazer and chic booties.

NYFW: Victoria Beckham 2014 Spring Collection

Who isn't in love with David Beckham? He is gorgeous! But as the expression goes, "Behind every good man is a great woman." Victoria Beckham has shown the world that she is that great woman behind David. They are truly a power couple! 

Victoria Beckham has done it again! Her Spring Collection wooed everyone present at her fashion show this week. I envy everyone that had the chance to glimpse at this collection. Victoria has proven herself in the fashion world and has created a name for herself a midst David Beckham.

       

Lucky spectators such as Anna Wintour and Rachel Zoe were present at the show in the front row. What captured my attention weren't these fashionistas, but supportive husband, David and little Harper. The photograph of David and his daughter supporting Victoria warmed my heart. How cute!

Two days ago Victoria was spotted wearing her favourite frock from this collection. I'm in love with this 1960's inspired dress.

Pop-up Shop: C. Originals - Live Laugh Love

The other day Jode-Leigh and I had the opportunity to attend our first "pop-up shop" event. A pop-up shop is essentially a collective of artists, designers, and one-of-a-kind brands promoting, networking, and selling their unique items.

While there, we were able to catch up with Candace Allen and check out her accessories line, "C. Originals." Two words I would use to describe her creations would be "glamorous and sophisticated." I appreciate good quality in designs and that is exactly what her collection had. C. Originals was created with style, functionality. and careful craftsmanship in mind.

                                      

My personal faves were the brooches. They're bold and colorful. I definitely found myself staring at them, mesmerized  trying to pick my favorites for at least 15 minutes! I finally settled on...all of them!

I love, love, loveeeeeee the idea of shoe clips! They can go on any shoe, anywhere you want it and they are an awesome way to bring a new oh-so-unique touch to a pair you shoes you thought you'd retire.

Don't worry Gentlemen, she's got you too! C. Originals has a wide selection of pocket squares, bow ties, skinny ties, and lapel pins to keep you looking sharp. 

When I say she does accessories, I really mean she DOES accessories! To complete the collection, C. Originals has designed a line beautiful of purses and clutch bags. How cool is that?!
